When starting a new position with folks you do not know also means to keep everything professional and nothing else. The exception maybe if you know someone who worked at the company before you.

tl;dr – but what i would like to contribute that you must BE present. overcompensate until you’ve proven your worth. my job recently hired an employee, and because she’s acting like she’s been on the job 5 years, they’re thinking of terminating her & it hasn’t even been 2 weeks!
