The Limited Is Launching A Clothing Line Based On Olivia Pope’s ‘Scandal’ Style
All of you ladies that look at Olivia Pope’s outfits every week and think to yourself,” Oohh, wouldn’t I love a jacket like that,” today is your day. The Limited has announced a Scandal-inspired line of clothing that won’t break your bank account into a million pieces.
Many of the fashions that Kerry Washington is rocking in-character are from some pricey labels. Normally, her clothes come from design labels like Burberry and Michael Kors. And Saks Fifth Avenue has designed its windows based on fashions from the show, so Kerry and the crew are definitely a high-end crowd.
But The Limited is offering an affordable alternative that will be designed in part by the popular show’s costume designer Lyn Paolo and The Limited’s design head Elliot Staples. According to WWD, Washington was also in touch via Skype, email, FedEx, in person and any other way possible to have a hand in the design process.
The line will also make an appearance on the show along with other promotions through social media and possibly commercials. WWD says The Limited is also in talks with ABC, so we could see some bigger campaign or promotions on the way.
Items will range in price from $49 to $248. There will be 42 different pieces to choose from, and you’ll be able to purchase the clothing from 250 The Limited stores located in malls around the country and on the company’s website. The line will arrive in September.
