There’s competitiveness in any field that you work in, but it’s always nice to see some camaraderie, support, and just have someone that you’re working with lend a helping hand… or a face.

In this list (which was inspired by a comment from poster Dark Child) we’re going to be bringing you musicians who appeared in other musicians’ music videos.  Now, here’s the stipulation for their selections:

They have to either play the role of a love interest, they didn’t have a vocal part in the song, and/or they are merely there as a form of solidarity for their friend.  So, with that said, let’s get it going with:

Tyrese in Monica’s “Angel of Mine”

In an almost Romeo and Juliet concept, the video shows how a few chance encounters can evolve into love.  That is, until that knock on the door at the end.  The jig’s up!

Beyoncé in Case’s “Happily Ever After”

When Beyoncé was still the front woman of Destiny’s Child, Case thought that she would be the perfect woman to use in his video about proposing to your girl and living happily ever after.

Tommy Lee in Missy Elliot’s “Lose Control”

Okay, we’ve been doing too many slow jams, so let’s do something more uptempo with a cameo that was unexpected.

The visuals in “Lose Control” earned the popular song a Grammy in 2006, and at the end, there’s… Tommy Lee (at the 2:57 mark).  I still can’t understand why, but he’s there, and it’s something that makes the video stand out.  That and his impressive wire acrobatics.

Usher, Diddy, and Bow Wow Shad in T.I.’s “Rubberband Man”

Before T.I. was reminding Azealia Banks of the dangers of stairs (let’s consider it a PSA via Instagram, right?) he was the “Rubberband Man.” The video had cameos of other musicians, but Diddy in his chinchilla coat, Shad Moss, and Usher’s cameos seem to stick out the most.

Chili in Usher’s “U Got it Bad”

Usher and Chili were in a very high profile relationship at the time.  So when he needed a love interest in his video about missing someone that you used to love, he used her.

Nas in Kelis’s “Milkshake”

Speaking of lost loves…

When Kelis released the uber popular song about dairy confections (that’s what I tell myself it’s about), it was only natural to have her then-husband, Nas in the video.

Young Buck in Monica’s “U Should’ve Known Better”

Ride or die chicks can be either very loyal, or very misled.  Either way you see it, Monica showed how down she was for her fictional boyfriend, Young Buck, while he’s arrested in a Mexican prison.

Justin Timberlake and Keri Hilson in Nelly Furtado’s “Promiscuous”

When Nelly Furtado first appeared on the scene she was “like a bird.”    She didn’t know where her soul was, so she left to find it.  When she came back, the bird was obviously turned into a peacock, getting the attention of all of the fellas with her bright feathers, infectious beats, and come hither lyrics.  Look for a random cameo of Justin Timberlake and Keri Hilson at the end.

Ray-J, Tyga, and Nicki Minaj in Lil Wayne and T-Pain’s “Got Money”

“If you got money…” please don’t follow the instructions of this song.  Save, save, and when you’re done saving, save some more.

But besides dispensing some questionable fiscal advice, the song was a hit, and also had appearances from a then unknown Tyga and Nicki Minaj.  Nicki Minaj’s cameo is very small, but at the same time, exciting if you see it at the 4:03 and 4:06 mark.

Drake and J. Cole in Wale’s “Simple Man”

When Wale was in Toronto, he decided to do the video for the song “Simple Man” there.  At the time he was preparing for his tour with J. Cole in the “What Dreams May Come” tour.   Drake also makes a cameo as the three hip hop powerhouses sit in the studio as if they’re contemplating world domination.

Ginuwine in Aaliyah’s “One in a Million”

When Aaliyah dropped the One in a Million album, it was a hit, and this song deserved great visuals.  So who’s better than her friend and collaborator, Ginuwine in this 12 Monkeys inspired video.

Omarion in Teyana Taylor’s “Her Room”

Speaking of Aaliyah, Teyana Taylor might not have gotten the role, but she did do a cover of Drake’s popular song “Marvin’s Room” called “Her Room.” It was from the Miseducation of Teyana Taylor mixtape.   In the video, her love interest is Omarion.

Drew Sidora in Trey Songz’s “Last Time”

After playing a fictionalized version of herself on “The Game,” Drew Sidora (who is also a singer) seemed to be the perfect person to add to Trey Songz’s song of a cheater who wants to quit, but finds it hard to stop.

Plethora of Stars in Notorious B.I.G.’s “One More Chance”

Now, Kendra Koger is writer for the people, so when Dark Child seemed disappointed that I didn’t add this video, I saved it for the end (just for you).

So, enjoy the plethora of stars in Biggie Small’s “One Last Chance” video.
