It’s that time of year again! Break out the popcorn, grab your favorite blanket and log onto your favorite social media sites. It’s time for the 2014 BET Awards. In honor of the award show that sends our timelines into a frenzy every year, let’s take a look at some of the moments we’re excited to see this year! We’ll also include a few moments we hope will happen! Fingers crossed!

The Return of CB

Okay okay, we know he performed last year but this would be a huge opportunity for Chris! Fans worldwide are in need of a high energy performance from Brown after a year of supporting him. A performance, or at least an appearance by Chris would give his fans everything they have patiently been waiting for.

Trey and August Alsina on Stage Together

We know the R&B singers squashed their beef, however we would love to see them on stage together. Youngster August is scheduled to perform at the awards this Sunday. How awesome would it be if he brought out Trey?

A tribute to Ruby Dee

It would only be right that BET did some type of tribute to the late Ruby Dee. We’re not requesting a full on performance, but something to address the loss of a major icon would be acceptable.

A preview of Being Mary Jane

Seriously! Mary Janers around the world need another dose, asap! The series was renewed for a second season in April 2014.

A Melody of Drake and Lil Wayne Hits

With the announcement of their joint tour, the anticipation for a performance together is high! We’re hoping the two of them perform their classics on stage together.

An Awesome Jhene Aiko Live (Finally!)

With the exception of Jhene Aiko’s SNL performance alongside Drake, the world has yet to see a major performance from the songstress. We’re sure fans of the popular songstress, cannot wait to see how she does on the show.

An update on Tracy Morgan

The comedian was scheduled to appear at the award show prior to a deadly car accident that left one of his friends dead. Morgan has recently been moved to a rehab center after the traffic accident. It would comfort us all to hear an update or a word from his camp.

Nicki Minaj and The Game on Stage together

There is no denying the chemistry between the two in her Pills & Potions video. Who won’t love to see The Game on stage playing her man candy for a few minutes?

An OutKast Performance

The duo is set to headline the BET experience, however we would love to see them on the actual BET Awards Stage. I’m sure viewers around the country who can’t afford tickets, would definitely tuned in!

An Epic Iggy Performance

This is officially the summer of Iggy Azalea. The rapper has two hit records on the charts and is quickly becoming music’s new IT Girl. A stellar performance at this year’s award show would seal the deal on her summer stardom.

A New Song From John Legend

Don’t get us wrong, we love “All of Me” by John Legend. However we’re hoping he will perform a new single at this year’s award show. We’ve already witnessed him perform “All of Me” on multiple shows, it’s time for something new!

 A Kerry Washington Sighting

The actress is confirmed to also appear at the award show on Sunday. We’re sure Gladiators worldwide cannot wait to see the actress on the red carpet. She has only been spotted out once since the birth of her baby girl!

Another Ode to Paula

Oh Robin Thicke, we can’t wait to see what you do at the BET Awards this year to get Paula back. Between the new video and the album titled Paula, we’re sure it’ll be a sight to see! We can’t wait!

Stand Up By Chris Rock

This year the BET Awards are hosted by Chris Rock! The anticipation is very high to see how Chris will do as a host. The comedian definitely has the fan base to host the show. We can’t see what he comes up with! However, we can do without an epic selfie Mr. Rock!
