Pass Or Play? Jennifer Hudson And Timbaland “Walk It Out”

June 17, 2014  |

Jennifer Hudson’s collaboration with Timbaland has been out in the blogosphere since the spring time but this week, Hudson dropped visuals for the single. In the opening scene of the video, Jennifer walks out donning a cut off shirt leggings, an asymmetrical hair cut and some big, bold and gaudy jewelry. It’s very Sal-N-Pepa. She’s on her way to the hair salon when a dude from around the way stops and tries to holler at her.

J Hud admits that while he is enticing, he’ll have to do a bit more to win her affections or “Walk It Out” with her. And she provides him with a pretty comprehensive list.

Jennifer goes from the salon, to the park and finally to the night time streets, ignoring this nicely chiseled man. But finally, when he offers her the keys to his BMW convertible, she’s willing to give him a chance. Ha!

Check out the video below and let us know if you’re feeling this new one from Hudson as well as the song itself.

Love it….. much different from the naked and sex selling video, old school when women were women and not just sex objects and the B- word

    Love it!

I gotta pass on this. I love Ms. Hudson, and Timbaland, but I’m not really feeling this.

Not bad, but I think it could do without the voice over about a “good producer” and a “good recording”…………………….really!!???

I think her voice is too big for these songs. My favorite song is All Dressed Up in Love from Sex in the City Movie. Now, if they put together a CD like that with big band sound and a bit of SITC vibe, it would sell for her. She’s so young and needs to be on the radio stations where people HER age can hear her.

Same goes for Jazmine Sullivan.. big voices and poor songs. It always seems like she’s straining in those urban songs

I agree with Mimzy Jennifer Hutson and Jazmine Sullivan have such power house voices that it is hard to find songs to fit such big voices. Maybe she should hook up with Clyde Davis.

    Haaaaaated it!

She looks good, kept the weight off. Her voice is so good that they don’t know how to make songs for her.

The song, I like. The video, not so much. I’ve never been into overly tattooed guys and I’m kinda over the ghetto-fab style videos. But I do LOVE LOVE LOVE her hair! Fierce!

  • Maya

I love the new song by Jennifer Hudson, she needed an updated sound

    Not feeling it

I actually like it….very simple choreography and a conventionally attractive dude (although he was a little on stalker status). Her vowels are still east and west and I can’t get with the 27-piece but I could rock this song in the car…
