After the misleading mess that has surrounded the separation between Mase and his wife Twyla Betha for almost a year, TMZ is reporting that the couple are officially divorced.
The couple experienced some criticism earlier this year after reports revealed they had filed separation papers two years ago despite building a congregation together at the time and penning a marriage counseling book together under the guise of a happy union.
Initially both sides requested physical custody of their 2 kids. Mase will not have physical custody of the couple’s children, but has been ordered to pay $6000 in spousal and child support. Mase received “reasonable visitation” for his children of up to three hours a day as long as he gives 12-hours’ notice. Twyla must return all of Mase’s musical equipment which should be helpful as the rapper is set to release his fourth album Now We Even this summer.
Mase was recently rumored to be involved with “Basketball Wives LA” Star Malayasia Pargo who also recently filed for divorce from her husband, Jannero Pargo. Pargo immediately denied the rumors.
We’re just glad this mess is over and we hope the pair can move on a rebuild their lives and a healthy way and continue to preach the word with some honesty.
