Hard Rock Cafe Donates $200K To Rihanna’s Charity, Will Display Her Memorabilia

The iconic Hard Rock Café International restaurant chain recently collaborated with bad gal Rih Rih for a limited edition t-shirt that’s featured as a part of the Hard Rock’s Artist Spotlight Series. The company also announced it will be adding personal items from Rihanna to the restaurant chain’s memorabilia collection. Rihanna made a special appearance at Hard Rock Café Paris to launch the partnership.

Besides the pieces being sold or displayed, Hard Rock is also feeling generous, making a large donation to Rihanna’s new charity, The Clara Lionel Foundation, which is focused on healthcare issues in Rihanna’s native Barbados and youth issues around the world.

“This charity is very near and dear to my heart and I’m proud to announce Hard Rock’s donation of $200,000 to The Clara Lionel Foundation, as well as showcase my shirt and spotlight merchandise. I’m honored to join some of the biggest names in music who have been celebrated with shirt designs as part of Hard Rock’s Spotlight Series,” Rihanna said in a statement.

This morning, Rihanna tweeted her thanks to Hard Rock Café for the hefty donation to her foundation.

The Clara Lionel Foundation was launched in 2012 in honor of Rihanna’s grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. It was started after the superstar’s grandmother Clara “Dolly” Braithwaite lost her battle with cancer.

Congratulations to Rihanna’s foundation and her continued charitable work!
