Antoine Dodson, the man who captured everyone’s attention in 2010 after he was on the local news in Alabama, is now a father. If you’ll recall, he was interviewed after helping to ward off a “really dumb” rapist who attacked his sister, and he had everyone saying “Hide ya kids, hide ya wife, hide ya husbands … cause they rapin’ everybody out here.” When the video went viral, he became an Internet sensation, but Dodson left all of the perks of that behind to shift the focus of his life and start a family. Dodson announced on his Twitter account recently that he and the lady in his life welcomed a baby boy named JaCobie into the world at six pounds and seven ounces. He posted the following images to Twitter, celebrating his new bouncing bundle of joy:

“He’s here, I’m officially a dad, 6lbs 7oz 19in long!!”

“JaCobie kept us up all night long and now he’s sleeping but we’re still up!!”

This is the first child for Dodson, who announced that he would be a father back in September:

“I just became the happiest man alive!! My beautiful Queen and I are having a baby!!”

All this came after Dodson became a Black Hebrew Israelite and claimed that he is “no longer into homosexuality” early last year. With that announcement, he also said that he wanted to move forward and have a wife and a family. It’s unclear what’s next for Dodson, and if he plans to make the mother of his newborn son his wife, but congratulations to them both on the new arrival and new chapter in their lives.
