NeNe Leakes Speaks On Which Former Housewife She Would Bring Back, And Ridding Herself Of The “Snakes” In Her Life
With all the rumors going around that Andy Cohen might bring Sheree Whitfield back to RHOA in the near future, some interesting cutting room floor convo that was dismissed from the RHOA reunion shows NeNe Leakes commenting on the idea of Whitfield, and any other former housewife for that matter, making a return.
When asked by Andy Cohen (via reader questions) who she would want to see get their peach back, Leakes didn’t seem too excited about the idea.
“Nobody. There’s not anybody that I would just be like, ‘They should come back to the show.’ If you want them back, bring them back. It’s not anybody that I would be rooting for to come back.”
Leakes was also asked if she thought that she’d become too stuck up since she started acting seriously, and to that, she said that she’s just growing as a person.
“No, I think you live and you learn, and the older you get, you grow. So obviously I’m not going to stay the same.”
And lastly, she was also asked why she wasn’t open to the idea of reading for the show “Mr. Box Office,” which Vivica A. Fox stars in. If you’ll recall, NeNe passed on the show during the season without reading the script, which left her agent confused and RHOA viewers thinking she was smelling herself too much. So why didn’t she give the show a try? Leakes says she didn’t because “I wasn’t interested in it.”
But that’s not all for her thoughts on this season. Leakes also took to her personal blog yesterday to say that this season, and especially the reunion, was draining. But she did learn a lot, including how to get rid of the snakes in her life:
Season six ended just the way many wanted… with foolery and the negativity of women sitting on the same couch belittling each other! Many find it entertaining but I found it negative and sad at times!
Yes I am a part of this circle and I take full responsibility for my actions! Did I just say that? LOL! Before you start rolling your eyes and poppin your gums, no one is perfect! When the season started I had just married my love, Gregg, and come off an amazing high right into a bunch of drama! It was a downer for me to say the least! I found myself working with women who lie, try to steal husbands, friends, buy boyfriends and cry with lawn mower voices! Wow what people will do for 2 dollars and 50 cents! All this became so draining to me!
Look I am definitely a straight shooter with no chaser! I give it to you direct! No harm intended and I don’t apologize just for the sake of it! If I believe in something strongly I don’t see the need to! I tend to say what many are thinking and I just don’t practice lying! I am all about a good shade-throwing moment, but throwing fists as grown women is crazy to me!
Although I found this season to be draining, I actually learned a lot! I learned that TV friendships are just made for TV so thank God I have real friends! I learned that snakes are no longer in the grass, they are on TV and in designer clothing! I learned that no matter how successful I become, I will always have critics amongst this group of women! Lastly, I learned that what don’t kill ya will definitely make you stronger! Oh and I didn’t know that the gays own the word Queen now! Interesting Ummhmmmm!
Speaking of critics (but outside of the show), Wendy Williams, who has been very critical about Leakes as of late, said again on her show yesterday that the queen bee of RHOA has changed. Williams says that after watching Leakes act as though she didn’t need to apologize for bringing up Kandi Burruss’ mother in an insulting manner on her Bravo blog, Williams was too through.
“I was so distracted by the mean nastiness and insecurity of NeNe, that I virtually forgot everything I saw…That last part that played last night for two hours put the nail in the coffin. NeNe is officially, today, probably the most hated woman in America. If you saw the episode…She told Kenya, ‘You want to be the queen of Atlanta, the queen of the franchise. It’s not going to happen.’ Do you think that this girl is officially the meanest woman in America? Did she come off real stank to you? I don’t know NeNe, man. You really need to get it together, man…NeNe, you acted ugly through and through. Sorry, just calling it the way I see it.”
What do you think about what NeNe and Wendy had to say about the reunion and the show in general?
