clippers warriorsSorry Donald Sterling. Your foul, bigoted mouth has finally caught up with you!  The  Los Angeles Clippers owner is not only banned from the NBA after his vile tirade, but it’s likely that he’ll be forced to sell the team, as announced by league commissioner Adam Silver.

In response to the Sterling tape, Magic Johnson, who was at the center of his narrow-minded diatribe said: “He shouldn’t own a team anymore. And he should stand up and say, ‘I don’t want to own a team any more.” Siding with the basketball legend, tons of potential buyers are lining up to place their bid on the Clippers. The team is worth $575 million, up from $12 million when Sterling purchased the team in 1981, according to CNN Money.

First, a thumbs up from 22 out of 29 owners is needed to revoke Sterling’s ownership rights. That’s not stopping the likes of Diddy and Rick Ross from showing early interest in the LA Clippers! Check out the list celebrities who cannot wait to get their hands on the frazzled NBA team!

I don’t feel his share should be for sale. And black people especially should not buy his share. the team was worth 13 million dollars when he bought it. Now it’s worth 500 million!! He’s just going to become wealthier! Let him keep his share, the sponsors will not want to be apart of a team with a racist owner. Hopefully that will make the value of the team go down. And maybe at some point (wishful thinking) he will have to sell, with a loss.., and not with such a large profit.

When you’ve been wealthy for so long, money is just money. You got it, but… what else do you have? He has already experienced a lost: respect, any kind of good reputation and credibility.

This list wouldn’t be a joke if you actually didn’t include Rick Ross and Floyd Mayweather who don’t even have the funds to purchase the team. Diddy himself wouldn’t even the funds to purchase the team by himself. If the Milwaukee Bucks were sold for $550 million, then the starting bid for the Clippers will be $1 billion dollars.

trust that the eventual buyers will be hoping to get a discount on the franchise because of the situation. I would guess it goes for less than a billion, but more than the bucks

      • ThaVoiceoftheVoiceless

They can try but most certainly will not get a discount. So many people and investment groups are lobbying to buy the team, so someone will pay top dollar to get it. Those sponsors will be back as soon as Sterling sells the team.
