I’m not sure if you remember, but in 2010, transgender model and dancer Sidney Starr went and told the media that she had a sexual relationship with rapper Chingy after he took a picture with her at a concert in Chicago. When that story got out, it was not a good look for the rapper’s career, no matter how much Ching-a-ling denied Starr’s statements.

By 2012, Starr changed her tune though, apologizing and claiming that her entire story was false in a WorldStar video. However, Chingy says it was too little too late, and the damage was already done to his career. He lost a record deal and gained a bum rap. Chingy talked about this in a new interview with VladTV, but says that despite Starr’s dirty deeds, he forgives her.

“I remember that day we when me and Ludacris had that show in Chicago. The promoter had some girl dancers on stage that were dressed in body paint, just for promotion, they were promoting whatever he wanted them to promote. And one who I thought was a young lady came up to me and wanted a picture. I just took the picture. I thought she was a fan. She seemed pretty cool. I took the picture, and that was it. Two years after that, I see something come out of some bull crap about this transsexual person was in a relationship with me. I was just like everybody else. I didn’t have a clue at what this person was talking about.

It goes to show you how many people wanted it to be true…That person who nobody knew, had that much power to come out and say one negative thing, and a whole mass of people just instantly took to it. And they didn’t have not one piece of evidence. Not one piece of clue, nothing! They had nothing. They just had this person’s lie…It actually injured my career a little bit; I watched it happen! I lost a deal ’cause of that. A record situation. I lost a deal because of that because it was said to me, ‘There was so much bad publicity around that.’ It’s so crazy man.

I’m a forgiving dude…I would tell that person, and I already told that person how I felt about it because that person contacted my people. And I forgave the person because it ain’t no need for me to hold no grudge. Just because that person chose to be evil don’t mean I gotta be evil right along with them. I’m going to stay good-natured and good-hearted. And I would just tell that person it was pretty messed up. It was foul. I ended up losing a lot from that situation while they were trying to gain something they still didn’t gain. Trying to walk over people to get what you want to get is not the way to go. That ain’t it. Because a circle is 360 degrees, so what that tells me is what goes around comes around.”

He spoke some real truth there, and kudos to him for being the bigger person. However, if I was him, I would have sued somebody’s behind.

As for Sidney Starr, she took to Twitter to tell people to stop bringing up old stuff:

“I see people still tryna make me out to be the monster that I’m not! Im only human but I dont care anymore! Talk about me all u want folks!”
