Beyond Red: Lip Shades You Should Be Trying

February 11th, 2011 - By Victoria Uwumarogie

Go Nude

Don’t let the mainstream women’s magazines and blogs fool you. A bare nude lipstick can be worn whether you’re light, dark, blue, black, or anything in between. Nude lipstick is good for toning down the face when the eyes are adorned in heavy liners or eyeshadows, especially the smoky eye. Nude looks Hot with oranges and pinks, along with a wide array of other bright tones. Some shades of nude do work especially well for certain skin tones, but there is definitely a butt bald naked hue fresh enough for everyone.

Orange-Red…All the way (Nars Red Square is a beautiful bright matte orange red and looks wonderful on black women..when the eye makeup is kept to a minimum)..Straight Orange?? Pass. And someone please tell me where you are going to wear black lipstick on any other day besides Oct. 31 or on a music video..

I am not convince that these shades work on women that are darkskinned. It helps when the examples are darkskinned women with these shades on that would be some more convincing for me…otherwise this article is not for me

I love the look on pg. 5 with Eva! However, you don't state what color from NYX this would be?
