Despite her loud protests against her daughter’s decision to marry fiancé, Todd Tucker, Mama Joyce says she will definitely be at Kandi’s spring wedding, which is reportedly set to take place next month.
“I am not excited but I am going,” Kandi’s mom honestly told RadarOnline during an interview.
Joyce, who has been extremely determined to get Kandi to see the “real Todd” this season, went on to say that she realizes that she doesn’t exactly have a say in who her daughter decides to spend the rest of her life with.
“It’s not my wedding. If she is happy then I am happy for her. If that’s who she wants to marry then I’m happy. As long as she is happy I am happy.”
As for whether or not she truly believes Kandi is happy with Todd, Joyce says she’ll simply have to take her word for it.
“Kandi says she is happy so I just have to go by what she says.”
Oh, and in case you’re wondering if she plans to attend the ceremony just so that she could object, the reality TV mom says absolutely not. Not because she doesn’t object, but because she has already expressed how she feels about Kandi’s decision to marry Todd.
“I’m not going to stand up when they ask if anyone has any objections. I don’t have anything to say. Everyone knows how I feel.”
Despite her strong convictions about Todd, Joyce adds that she really hopes that she is wrong about him.
“I hope that I can say ‘I’m glad Kandi didn’t listen to me and this is the man she has been waiting for all her life.’”
Joyce also discussed Kandi’s desire to have more children, expressing that her dislike for Todd will have no impact on how she feels about her future grandchildren.
“Their father doesn’t make no difference to me. If she adopted, had another child with Todd, I will love it.”
Now that the Mama Joyce situation is under control, we can only hope that everything else runs smoothly on Kandi’s big day!
