MadameNoire Featured Video

If you saw the video above that went viral last week you were likely as disturbed as we were. On rapper Lil Boosie’s “Official Boosie” Instagram page a video of his daughter celebrating news of his release from prison was posted as she raved:

“I told y’all ni**as, I told y’all ni**as. Y’all thought I was playing but I told y’all ni**as. He comin’ home today, he comin’ today. Told y’all. Y’all better believe it. Streets is his.”

Most of us were appalled at the antics of the little girl who can’t be any older than 7 or 8, and when AllHipHop.com reached out to Lil Boosie to comment on the video, he was a little disappointed as well — sort of.

“I was too happy to fuss,” he told the site. “You know, after that I told her I didn’t want her saying the word. But, she was one of those that went through ‘your daddy ain’t coming home’, ‘yo daddy this’ in schools and such. So, I think  it was just..when I called her and told her I was coming home, I think it was all the stuff she went through coming out. I didn’t know she had it in her. [Laughs]”

That definitely helps us digest this whole Boosie spectacle a bit more. It’s good to know Boosie talked to his daughter about her language, but it’s also important to understand what Boosie’s daughter has gone through while her father has been locked up. Hopefully she’ll calm down a bit now that he’s back home and in her life. What do you think about Boosie’s explanation?
