Stylist Kim Kimble Takes Beauty To The Classroom, Talks Salon Culture & Celebrity Clients
Hunger, attitude, and education.
That’s what Kim Kimble, celebrity stylist and star of WE TV’s LA Hair, said it takes to be a stylist in the entertainment industry.
With a passion to teach and the ability to make people look and feel beautiful, Kimble said its time to host her first ever “Kimble Beauty Camp,” on March 10 at her Los Angeles salon. Kimble will spend the day teaching up-and-coming stylists how to survive in the entertainment industry.
The third generation stylist, who has worked in TV and film with Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Kerry Washington, will host the classes and workshops accompanied by this season’s cast of LA Hair, MC Lyte and Lil Mama. She said activities will show attendees how “to be prepared” when entering this type of career.
“I am going to teach them how to dress, talk and act on set – that is so important. We will also talk about my experiences and what I have seen and what I have done,” Kimble said. “I’ve been in this industry for years and I’ve seen the pitfalls but I also have been fortunate enough to have had a lot of success. Sharing my knowledge allows me to feel like I am learning again and it helps me stay fresh.”
