Part of Lady Gaga’s appeal is that she encourages her fans to be themselves regardless of what other people say. That has been a lesson that the “Poker Face” singer has had to learn on her own. Lady Gaga revealed that she’s suffered from bulimia and anorexia since she was 15 years old. After a photo surfaced in 2012 that showed Gaga added some weight to her tiny frame, critics were eager to shoot her down but she didn’t let that get to her. She posted a note to her fans on her official website encouraging others to embrace themselves as they are: “Now that the body revolution has begun, be brave and post a photo of you that celebrates your triumph over insecurities.”
