Breezy’s Not Alone: Celebrities With Bipolar Disorder
Patty Duke
When she was 35, Patty Duke was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a diagnosis that she says came as a huge relief as she knew at that moment that she wasn’t the only person in the world feeling the way she was. After her diagnosis, she went on to write a memoir entitled A Brilliant Madness: Living with Manic-Depressive Illness. Patty has become an advocate of bipolar disorder awareness, speaking out about it on the Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, and even to Congress.
