‘Will You Marry Me One Day, Baby?’ OWN Debuts First Look At ‘Deion’s Family Playbook’

February 17, 2014  |

Last month we told you that OWN had officially picked up Deion Sanders’ new family friendly reality show, “Deion’s Family Playbook.” As previously reported, the series will document the life of the former NFL and MLB player as he juggles his family life, professional life and his long distance relationship with girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds.

“[Deion’s Family Playbook] is the hilarious and compelling real life story of Deion Sanders, the football legend, baseball great, broadcaster, Hall of Famer, international superstar, businessman, educator and father, as he strives to keep all the facets of his complicated, crazy and chaotic life in balance and under control,” the show’s press release reads

“Deion faces the challenges of raising his five children in a household that also includes his mother, her foster children and his aunt and uncle, while guiding the future of Prime Prep Academy, the charter school he created to try to make a lasting impact on the lives of children in under served areas. He plays the role of father, leader, bread-winner, coach and teacher for everyone around him. And in those rare instances when he gets a little overwhelmed, his girlfriend, producer and businesswoman Tracey Edmonds, who has two sons of her own, is there to help pick up the slack.”

OWN recently released a trailer and a couple of teasers for the show, which is slated to debut on March 1 and it looks like it has the potential to be pretty entertaining. In addition to Deion’s children, who all have pretty big personalities, viewers will get to witness the retired professional athlete interact with his girlfriend, Tracey.

“You gon’ marry me one day, baby,” he asks Tracey in the trailer.

Her response to that question, of course, is not included in the clip, but nosy folks like us are dying to know what her response is, especially since the two have both been married before in the past.
