Kierra Sheard comes from a legacy of gospel singers. If you’ve been in any black Christian church long enough, you know the Clark singers are no joke. And Kierra is following in their footsteps singing for the the Lord but in a way that this new, creative generation can appreciate.

In our exclusive interview with Kierra, she spoke about a little bit of everything including the expectations of being a preacher’s kid, how she lost over 80 pounds, why she thinks “Preachers of LA” makes us stop wanting to put leaders on a pedestal and her new hosiery line “Sheers by Sheard.”

And then some.

Check out the interview in the video above.

You can catch Kierra on “The Sheards” on BET, Sundays 8/7c.

I’ve watched a few episodes of this show and I find them very annoying. The son doesn’t want to produce gospel or be in that world, but his whiny moma (with the bad weaves) and overbearing dad, keep the guilt trips comings.

He wants to independent and his own person, and Keke is content to be her parents want her to be.

Keke is ok, but she’s annoying when it comes to performing or being around people who aren’t into gospel. Then why go to a nightclub and be suprised when your friend drinks alcohol. Stay home or don’t judge, child.
