Corporate Fashion for an Outdoor Event

February 4, 2011  |

Are you unsure of what to wear to the next corporate event? If so, you can swap the traditional business suit and heels for a more casual look! As you diversify your surroundings with outback activities or a barbeque celebration with the team, there are great fashion selections that are comfortable and affordable to wear around the boss when its nice outside.

Tap into your outer energy with these stylish decorums:

1. Stay clean and comfortable at a barbeque event

Planning a barbeque event in the backyard or in a picnic area reserved for business groups draw small to large crowds in which you can stay clean and comfortable on a beautiful day. Going with a nice sundress and heels, as well as a fancy top and skirt or short-set compliment your look. Try not to buy outfits that reveal plunging necklines, backsides or cleavage.

2. Root for the sports team in a sports tee and jeans

You can represent the home team at a sports event with t-shirts and jeans. The typical outfits to wear to a corporate event are sizable t-shirts, lax jeans or slacks and sneakers or flipflops to walk around in. Or if your jockeying for a position in a game of flag football, wear comfortable shirts and running shoes to tag around in.

3. Be sassy and sophisticated at a family-friendly event

When friends and family meet over corporate events, there is an alternative to staying sassy and sophisticated without going overboard. If you wear couture or designer fashion labels with black shades to represent your feminine side, or a flattering blouse and slacks with flipflops, this can certainly enhance your physicality.

4. Put on casual swimwear (minus the cleavage) to the swimming pool or beach

You can still be casual and presentable at a swimming event with a one-piece or two-piece bathing suit.  Buying outfits that don’t show the all “goodies” prove that your selections fit well. And maybe carrying a swim pull-over or a beach hat can be worn in a fashionable and secure way. This way, you don’t have to worry about unleashing your business in front of the participants.

5. Keep necessary essentials in a matching tote bag or sack

Throughout the day, its a great idea to keep an extra stash of clothing items, products, and toiletries in your matching tote bag or sack if necessary. You can pull out those essentials such as a hairbrush, bug spray, umbrella for possible rainy days, sunscreen or a mini fan to feel cool on a hot day.

6. Bring an extra pair of clothes

One of the misses of the day is not having an extra wardrobe plan to back you up. Keeping a fresh pair of clothes is a smart cover to have in your possession. If ever your in a messy situation or accident at a corporate event, this will save you from those unexpected occurences.
