Well, it’s a good thing Lance didn’t get the role of Harrison on “Scandal.” Not only because his character is underdeveloped and one dimensional right now but also because if he had taken the role, he wouldn’t have been able to star in this new NBC series “Crisis.” I already know what you’re thinking is this a recycled “Scandal”? I thought the same thing until I saw the trailer. And while Lance and his costars are trying to solve a political problem, it’s a bit bigger than the type of cases Olivia takes on.

“Crisis,” the conspiracy drama, set to air on March 16 stars Gross as Marcus Finley, a secret service agent who finds himself involved in an international crisis on his first day of the job. Gross is assigned to protect the President son when a bus carrying him and several of his classmates is highjacked and children are kidnapped. The bus is full of the children of powerful political figures and the kidnapping incites an international crisis. Once these children are missing, the question arises, “How far would go and what would you become to ensure your child’s safe return?”

Honestly, it sounds like more of a movie than a series. I don’t know how they’ll manage to pull this off every week. Either way though my interest has been piqued.

Lance will be joined by seasoned actors as Michael Beach (Vanessa Williams’ cheating husband on SoulFood), Dermot Mulroney (who I’ll always remember as Julia Robert’s friend/flame in the movie My Best Friend’s Wedding), GIllian Anderson (“X Files”), Rachael Taylor, and Max Martini (Captain Phillips) among others.

If that’s not enough to convince you to give this show a chance, take a look at the trailer below and then check out some pictures of Lance and the crew as they made their rounds on a press tour.
