After much speculation, it has been confirmed that hip hop’s favorite power couple will be performing at the 2014 Grammy Awards, which is scheduled to take place Jan. 26. The big news was announced yesterday during a Sunday night commercial on CBS, which listed Jay Z and Beyoncé as performers for the 2014 awards show.

What hasn’t been confirmed, however, is whether or not the duo will be performing together or separately. But word on the street is that they will not only be performing together, but they will also be the opening performers! The rumors began with the lovely folks over at Kontrol magazine, who say that an insider leaked the news that the Carters will be kicking off the highly anticipated awards show with a “huge opening surprise.”

Whether they open or not, the Grammys is sure to be a huge night for the “Drunk in Love” duo, as Jay is nominated for nine Grammy Awards and this will be Bey’s first televised performance since the release of her wildly successful visual album, “Beyoncé”. However it goes down, we can’t wait to see what these two have up their sleeves!

Are there any Grammy performances that you’re looking forward to?
