While Chris Brown might be dealing with a lot of legal trouble right now, I just wanted to point out that it looks like the singer is starting to fill out again and is in a better place when it comes to his physical health. No blond hair. No gaunt cheeks covered in a five o’ clock shadow. No weed (or anything else…). And he’s looking great.

But let’s get down to business.

We had the chance to see a healthy-looking Chris Brown because he had to go to court today in DC (he is allowed to leave rehab for court proceedings). Today’s court appearance was made in order to accept or reject a plea deal in his case for allegedly punching a man and breaking his nose outside of the W Hotel late last year during Howard’s homecoming weekend. His girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, was in attendance.

The deal made by prosecutors would have reduced his more severe misdemeanor assault charge to simple assault. According to TMZ, it turns out that Brown, with the help of his main lawyer, Mark Geragos, actually rejected the plea deals Another one of Brown’s lawyers, Danny Onorato, says both Brown rejected the deal because he truly didn’t do anything wrong and he isn’t going to cop to something that never happened.

However, the Huffington Post and TMZ say that prosecutors told the judge they have surveillance evidence they have obtained that they will be turning in soon, but they wouldn’t reveal what the videos show. But if it’s any evidence of an ugly assault between Brown and the alleged victim, that obviously won’t be good for the singer. The next court hearing is scheduled for February 20, and Geragos has asked that Brown not have to be present so that he can finish his anger management treatment, seeing as how today’s hearing was only 10 minutes, and every trip to DC causes the singer to lose three days worth of treatment.
