There has been tons of speculation about Mo’Nique’s next move since she reemerged on the scene back in May when she opened up about her strained relationship with BET and the cancellation of “The Mo’Nique Show.” First there was talk that the actress and comedian made amends with BET and would be returning to the network with a new series. Then, in October, word got out the she’s collaborating with ABC for a new daytime talk show believed to be airing in September 2014. While we’re happy to hear about all of the lovely new projects Mo has in the works, we kind of miss her and were hoping that she would be returning to TV a little sooner than the fall. Luckily for us, it appears that our wish has been granted.
“Love & Hip Hop” producer Mona Scott-Young wears many hats, but it looks like she may have taken off her hat as reunion show host and passed the baton to another well-deserving media maven. Yes, that’s right. It looks like Mo’Nique will be hosting this season’s “Love & Hip Hop” reunion show. This will be fairly interesting to see, as these reunion shows can get pretty wild, but Mo has a way of keeping out-of-control reality stars in check. Remember when she hosted “Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School?”
In other “Love & Hip Hop” news, as many of you ladies predicted, it looks like it may be a wrap for Erica’s relationship with Cyn. After sharing a photo of herself and Mo’Nique on the set of the reunion show, she shared a photo of herself and Cyn with a caption that reads:
“I’m sorry if I EVER hurt you! I never meant too and I hope you know your PERFECT! & that’s why I Love you! Forgive me @Cynsantana You have Always been good to me!! Thank You!”
If we had to take a guess, we’d say that Cyn probably caught Erica in some love triangle messiness. Side note: Have you noticed that at the end of like every season Erica gets called out for creeping around? Anyway, we’re sure that the reunion will be filled with lots of drama.
Will you be tuning in?
