I have to admit, I’m a little late to the ATL train. In fact, I just watched the movie last week. And I dug it. I can see why it has the mini cult following that it does. It’s a cute, little movie– which surprisingly took only 45 days to shoot in the summer of 2005. So here we are, getting ready to dive into the little known facts behind the film, produced, in conjunction with T-Boz and Dallas Austin, by Will Smith’s company Overbrook. Let’s dive in.

My favorite hood classic ever. This movie is just pure entertainment. And Diana on set is the funniest.

This is one of my go-to films right here. T.I. proved he can act and Even Ross was impressive. Chris Robinson did a marvelous job capturing the ATL vibe and the casting was perfect. Thanks for this behind the scenes peek!! I enjoyed learning all the background details.

ATL is most def one of my fave hood classics!!! I had no clue this movie was based on the lives of TBoz and Dallas Austin. And I certainly didn’t know Will Smith had anything to do with it… Where I been? Lol.
