And the messiness continues.
We told you on Wednesday that Amina Buddafly sincerely believes that she’s “above” Tara Wallace and needs to be respected because she went and married Peter Gunz when everybody had their back turned. And while most of us unanimously agreed that she needed to have a seat, or better yet, several, someone is coming to her defense, and that person is her Love and Hip Hop NY co-star, Erica Mena.
When speaking to Juicy mag, Mena shared her thoughts on the love triangle that is Amina Buddafly, Tara Wallace and Peter Gunz, and said that all the shade Amina receives isn’t fair, since, in her mind, Alicia Keys “did the same thing” with Swizz Beatz while he was married to Mashonda, but no one “bashes” her for it:
“Peter needs Iyanla to save his life right now…I actually became an Amina fan when she pulled out that ID. Let’s not forget Alicia Keys did the same thing but no one bashes her. It’s not talked about because it’s all about how the story gets put out there, but it’s the same scenario. The only thing different is Alicia Keys really did know he was married.”
All this is not a surprise considering that Mena also found herself in the middle of a messy love triangle with a married man earlier this year, and no I’m not talking about Rich Dollaz. It came out that she messed around with DJ Envy, who has been married for more than 18 years to his wife Gia Casey. DJ Envy went on his radio show, Power 105.1, and admitted to the affair and said that Mena was a “bird,” and “evil,” to which she responded on Twitter with this:
#underneathItAll Truth is If I would have never found about her Envy would still be hiding her. His forced to stay but I help save his half. Men always wanna call you out your name once they in the wrong and your gone. If I’m all you call me out to be NOW What’s that make you?”
Now it makes sense why she would jump to Amina Buddafly’s defense. Either way, Amina doesn’t need anybody to back her up, she needs to divorce Peter Gunz and get her music career together–without his help. I’m just saying…
