She Scurred: Sharon Osbourne Apologizes For Saying “The View” Ladies Could Go “F**k Themselves”

November 8, 2013  |

Somebody is ready to remove her foot from her mouth.

We told you on Wednesday about Sharon Osbourne and the ladies of The Talk appearing on the The Arsenio Hall Show earlier in the week, and how she made the poor choice to say that the ladies of The View, sans Barbara Walters, “could go f**k themselves.” It all occurred after the cast was asked the difference between both shows:

“Cut to the chase! Stop being polite! Cut to the f**king chase! The situation is, Barbara, idolize her [bows down], divine she is, superhuman she is. The rest can go f**k themselves!”

But back on her own talk show, The Talk, Osbourne realized she made quite the tactless error and decided to apologize. She says it was a joke gone really bad.

Here’s what she said according to E!:

Osbourne: “I have to own this. I’m fully responsible for myself. Some of the time. Unfortunately, I was inappropriate, and I was trying to be funny at someone else’s expense, and it was the ladies of The Talk. We were asked a question about The Talk.”

Sara Gilbert: “The View, you mean.”

Osbourne: “See? I’m not well! I’m not responsible. I’m really just a loose cannon. Anyway, I want to apologize to Jenny [McCarthy], Sherri [Shepherd] and Whoopi [Goldberg], who are all accomplished, self-made women who have amazing careers. They have achieved so much. I mean, Whoopi is an Oscar winner. Who am I to say anything about Whoopi, any of the ladies? I respect Jenny as a mother, as a woman, as an artist. Sherri, too. And really, I can’t even get the name of my own show right. So please understand, it was my irreverent behavior, and no disrespect meant. And I’m not a person who is mean, I’m really not. And I apologize.”

Guess Barbara Walters must have rang her phone and reminded her that what she what said was on national television. But hey, everybody gets a bit messy from time to time, but the good thing is that she apologized, which she needed to do.

What do you think of Osbourne’s apology?
