We told you yesterday about the teen caught with a dead fetus. The story goes like this: A 17-year-old girl who went to a Victoria’s Secret in Midtown Manhattan was caught shoplifting with a friend, and then after having her bags checked, she was found to have the dead fetus of her child in a plastic bag with her at the store. After such a horrific discovery, the young woman told police that she miscarried the day before after being only 6 1/2 months pregnant, and she was taken to the hospital to be checked out, while her child’s remains were taken to the medical examiner.

According to the New York Daily News, an autopsy has proven that the young woman was lying–her child, a boy, was born alive and was almost completely full term, weighing in at 8 1/2 pounds. So the question has now become, how exactly did this baby die? Was it asphyxiation? SIDS? The autopsy was inconclusive when it came to figuring out the way the baby lost his life, and it will take about two weeks for results to come in. Therefore, a full investigation will have to continue to see what happened, and if this teen might have hurt her baby. As a mother already of a healthy two-year-old son already, the fact that this young lady hid her pregnancy (those who knew her in the neighborhood didn’t even know she was with child) and then proceeded to carry around the child’s body after his birth (and death) while she did some “shopping” comes off very suspicious. It all sounded like depression initially, but something else is clearly going on.

As previously reported, so far, the young woman and her friend have been charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property for their theft of lingerie and makeup at the store. But could more serious charges come the young mother’s way soon? We will keep you updated on this story.

So you put the fetus in your bag and go shoplifting? This girl is missing some screws.

This is why abortion should be an option covered by medical insurance. If a man is able to walk away from a child…a woman should be able to abort.

I think if the man is able to have sex with you, then the man should help pay for the abortion. How about charge the man upfront.

Depo should be a requirement until a female is 21

This is why irresponsible people shouldn’t have children, especially teenagers.

    • KeepingItReal

80% of all people (of all races) in this country who have kids are irresponsible.

She got caught. How many more fearful confused young ladies have done the same thing? Sad. Things must change

Teenagers are tweeners, in a sense, which is why they might vacillate between very mature, adultlike behavior, and that of young children. Although her body is able to produce a child and she is already someone’s mother, she reverted to acting like a kid who 1) hid her pregnancy because she was afraid of getting in trouble, whatever that meant, 2) didn’t seem to understand the gravity of what had just happened. She just bagged up the baby and went shopping with her friend, and 3) tried to lie her way out of it, and poorly at that. Since she’d already had one child around age 15, it seems whoever is responsible for her should have tightened up her freedom a bit, so that she couldn’t repeat her MISTAKE. I’m guessing that someone else is caring for her child, too, instead of having allowed her to do it, which is why she didn’t learn the lesson from the first pregnancy.

You can’t really tighten up the freedom of someone who has a child, it doesn’t really work that way. You would at least think the gravity of having the first child so young would stop them in their tracks, but we all know someone 21 with 4 kids so….

No thanks
