“Your Behavior Was Monkey Like”: K. Michelle Explains Why She Called A Fan A Monkey (Kind Of)
We told you the other day about K. Michelle calling a fan a “monkey looking girl” after the woman tried to put her on blast about not wanting to take a picture with a friend of the woman on that person’s birthday. The woman tried to say that as a celebrity, it’s part of K. Michelle’s job to snap pictures with fans and sign autographs, but the singer definitely didn’t agree.
“My job is not to take pictures but to use my voice to teach people to be better then me. I work my a** off every single day just to make sure women don’t go through what I have. If I wanna take one day to be normal with friends I don’t think that makes me a bad person…I love music and my fans but that doesn’t make me a slave to society and your random picture request. I share my life so u can learn. I dont owe u anything, You should really get you a life and find you a new weave supplier.”
Well, on Tuesday, the singer decided to explain on Twitter why she went so far with the fan and called her a monkey, and she basically said, if it walks like a monkey, and talks like a monkey, it’s damn monkey:
It’s funny how people NEVER tell the WHOLE story. Smh
I told you No, not right now, I’m eating. You got mad and was very drunk and disrespectful towards me. Your behavior was Monkey like
I just keep it … If you actin like your part of a wildlife adventure then to me that’s monkey behavior.
My fans no I ride hard 4them. They’re all I got. From personally calling my fans on the phone, to staying after concerts 2meet them
Not 2mention the 20 something pics I already had takin that night. Smh. Cant please everybody and I’m not gonna drive myself crazy trying
So blah, blah, blah. New story, new headline. I’m sure ill meet alot more Monkeys along the way.
Yeah, so if the woman was looking for an apology, it looks like she’s not getting it. What do you think about her rationalization? I’m not a fan of black folks calling other black folks monkeys in any form or fashion, but that’s just me. Share your two cents below.
