I know. Sigh. Another reality show. That’s the reaction everyone is used to hearing when they even mention the word reality TV, but “The New Atlanta’s” Africa Miranda says you shouldn’t have that attitude when it comes to her show.
The actress, singer, and model is one of five cast members on the new Bravo reality series created by Mona Scott-Young which follows the lives of up-and-coming young professionals as they try to make their dreams come true. Doesn’t sound much like “Love & Hip Atlanta” does it? That’s because it’s nothing like that — or the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” — says Africa.
“We’re probably like pre-, say before you get to the Kandi level and the Nene’s and everyone else that’s much more established on their shows,” she told us. “It’s a representation of what life is.”
Not many reality stars out there are saying that last line, as they all claim to be set up on TV and forced into unnecessary drama. Sounds like Mona may have chilled on that nonsense with this show. Check out Africa’s full interview in the video up top. Have you been watching “The New Atlanta”? Will you?
