Who does the White House call to fix the public’s health care problems ? Jennifer Hudson, that’s who!
In order to reach out to the younger generation, the Obama administration hired J Hud to become Lydia Cole, a “fixer” — or covert scandal manager — who promotes the Affordable Care Act. In Olivia Pope fashion, Lydia Cole meets with clients who seem to have sensational secrets that will rock headlines. Little does she know, her clients need help receiving healthcare for various health issues, not scandals. In the clip, Hudson can be seen repeatedly explaining the Affordable Care Act (ACA), better known as Obamacare, in order to normalize ACA for the average American. Its key purpose is to show Americans not to worry about affording healthcare.
For instance, in one example, Lydia Cole asks a client, “What’s your issue?,” to which she replies: “My company’s health care. It doesn’t cover mammograms.” That’s when Jennifer, aka, Lydia Cole, jumps in and says:
“The ACA covers preventative care for women’s health. Girl, go find you a scandal.”
This video appears to be the first result from Jennifer Hudson, Oprah Winfrey, and Alicia Keys’ meeting with White House officials to discuss a series of options to incorporate pop culture into politics. Jennifer’s video is currently housed on Funny or Die, though, a privately funded comedy website not sponsored by the government.
