If you weren’t able to check out I Dream Of Nene on Tuesday night, you probably missed out on NeNe and Gregg revealing a very well-kept secret about their relationship: Gregg has been married before, and not only that, but he has five adult children from that previous relationship that he’s estranged from.
TALK ABOUT A MAN WITH BAGGAGE! Just kidding, just kidding.
But seriously, that news came to light in episode one of the new show because NeNe didn’t want to take drama from the past into the future with them this second time around, so the couple sought out a therapist to help them communicate better and handle their issues. Leakes didn’t want to look like she was the problem that caused Gregg to have an estranged relationship with his grown kids, but she definitely feels as though they all put the blame on her:
“I feel like his kids have always been against me…It feels like they feel like I had something to do with Gregg and their mom break-up…It’s just so weird that you [Gregg] never tried to bring us together.”
We’ll have to wait and see if things can get sorted out, but it doesn’t look like it will. If you’ll recall from the show’s supertrailer, NeNe could be seen arguing with Gregg’s sons in an exchange that had one young man saying to her “Show a little respect to the bloodline…we were already here before you got here, NeNe!” and ending with the reality star saying in response, “You not gon’ come up in here and check me!” Oh the drama.
However this ends, it will sure make for good TV, and you’ve been watching, because the show has already raked in 1.5 million viewers for its premiere, making it a huge hit over other shows done by ladies in the Real Housewives franchise.
