 DMX Appears On Dr. Phil

Source: Twitter

If the scene in the photo above looks familiar, there’s a couple reasons why that’s so. For one, it’s the second time this year that we’re seeing DMX with a professional therapist who is going to help him work through his many, many issues. And two, well he’s doing it in the same damn shirt.

As soon as I saw this pic, I thought, wait a minute, something looks familiar. And then I remembered, this is the same flannel shirt DMX wore when he appeared on “Iyanla: Fix My Life” and the life coach famously told him he doesn’t get to speak to her eva again in life. See?

DMX Appears On Dr. PhilPerhaps this is DMX’s intervention shirt, but if his session with Dr. Phil goes anything like the one with Iyanla Vanzant, both Phil McGraw and his audience are going to be in for a rude awakening. We found out last week that DMX was going to appear on yet another of Oprah’s protege’s shows after his little nekkid incident inside of Detroit hotel room earlier this year and today pics of their meeting popped up on Twitter. X certainly looks more pleasant than he did with Iyanla, but so far all we have is this photo to come from.

The fact that DMX is appearing on this show suggesta the rapper is clearly still fighting a losing battle with his many demons, including a drug addiction, addiction to women, and most of all unhealed wounds from the lack of his mother’s love as a child. Let’s hope Dr. Phil will be able to get through to X in a way Iyanla wasn’t. Are you hopeful?

Ok. So what’s the significance of that? Now, we know he’s not a clothehorse. Scandalous!

  • cryssi

DMX standing next to round and cheesy Phil male me want to cry. DMX looks so small and sad.

Really, who wrote this article, some snobbish, stuck up 7th grader? It’s his shirt and he can wear it anytime he wants. I’m currently wearing a shirt I wore this past Thursday, now clock me on it.

    • Yvette

LOL!!!!!!..I guess I need to be check too because I am for sure wearing a blouse I had on last week as well.

      • NatashaDecemberBabyThomas

        That’s a fashion felony, LOL!

        • Yvette

          LOL…guilty as charged!

Why is this even news, who wrote this article? Dang he can’t recycle a shirt like the rest of us? Maybe he taped Dr. Phil and Iyanla shows on the same day, who knows, it doesn’t even matter what he wore, at the end of the day, it’s HIS shirt!

The writers name is Brande. I’m surprised she doesn’t play baseball. She’s forever throwing shade.

  • kierah

What I’m concerned about is Earl’s hand. Is he making some kind of sign?

  • sammi_lu

Hey at least he looks neat and clean and that’s all that really matters. When I was in elementary there was this girl everyone would tease about wearing the same three outfits and same pair of shoes the whole first semester. Her hair was neatly braided, and every single day though the colors were fading from her clothes due to the frequent wear they were clean and pressed.

Throwing shade about a shirt is childish. Clothes I wore last week I’m wearing this week as long as there clean. Right? I just hope Dr. Phil helps him

    • Nope

Basically. And how long ago was that Iyanla show? Was he supposed to throw the shirt away after that show? Keep it logged on his intervention shows calendar?

      • bluekissess

Lol. I don’t get it. The point was totally lost. This man needs help and all she (the writter) can think about is his wardrobe is silly.

        • Nope

Right. Anything not in my dirty clothes basket in very eligible to be worn again that week, let alone SEVERAL weeks later. And some of my clothes such as jeans almost never hit my dirty basket. Considering I don’t roll around in the mud or sh*t on myself, and jeans are designed to be rugged I’m pretty sure they can handle chairs and bar stools during the week.

“Considering I don’t roll around in the mud or sh*t on myself”….. I died, came back to life, and died again. The truth can be hilarious

            • jen

Hahahahahaha…..you guys are crazy but I agree who cares what he is wearing he is seeking help..I just wish Dr. Phil would have tried to help him with no cameras then when they were msking progress msybe have him on the show.I don’t like how Oprah is using him this way. She never liked rappers and only Jay Z once ge gained money status.

              • Yvette

How is Oprah using DMX? She didn’t twist his arm and make him appear on Dr. Phil’s show. Just like she didn’t twist his arm and make him appear on Iyanla’s show. Nice try but the only person DMX can blame for his choices in this life is himself! Don’t put his foolishness off on anyone else. What did Oprah do to you to get you so fired up?

                • jen

I believe that DMX wants and needs help. So if you are trying to HELP then help not for ratings but because he is a black man who was damaged before money and even more damaged after. Oprah doesn’t even like rappers she has even said so. So for her to offer “help” for ratings to a man who can’t mentally make wise decisions right now is just sad blackploitation.

                  • Yvette

I believe he wants and needs help as well, however, DMX is a grown man who chose to go on these shows. There is nothing to exploit if he says “no” to the offers. Once again, this is all on him for agreeing to do counseling on TV in front of millions of folks instead of in private so other than Oprah being the woman who gave TV shows to Iyanla and Dr. Phil I see no other connection. Next you will be saying it was Oprah who is making DMX get high. Please stop with the blame game and exploitation claims because they don’t fit.

                    • jen

It does fit..just like the negativity of wearing the same thing to both interviews. Educate yourself about wolves in sheeps clothing. Finished.
