For weeks industry whispers have speculated that Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame and his fiancée, Tammy Rivera, were the newest members to be added to the cast of popular VH1 reality show, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Talk of Waka and Tammy’s addition to the show seemed pretty believable, especially since his mother, Deb Antney appeared on the show several times in the past. While in New York, the “Round of Applause” rapper stopped by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, where he addressed the rumors.
While Waka admitted that he has not joined Mona Scott Young’s crew of reality stars, he revealed that the rumors are partially true because his boo thang Tammy did.
“I’m not doing ‘Love & Hip Hop,’ my fiancée is doing it,” Waka said.
Of course, we all know what that means, but just to be sure, the hosts asked if he’ll be making appearances on the show with Tammy.
“One or two. I don’t do reality shows,” he revealed.
As for rumors that Tammy is getting paid $500,000 to join the cast, Waka joked that he hopes the rumors are true so that Tammy can fund her own shopping habit going forward.
“That’s cool. I ain’t gotta buy her no more purses or shoes. Those Christian Louboutins are crazy! You’ll see a picture and say, ‘Oh, I just wanna marry these shoes.’ You look them up and they’re like $4,700.”
The Atlanta rapper went on to make it clear that Tammy is no gold digger.
“Until this day, she has never asked me for a dollar. She ain’t ask for this, she didn’t ask for that. The only thing she want is she likes clothes. She’s obsessed with fashion. Like she’ll trade in fashion over me. Anything else, she’s just genuine, I don’t know.”
He also discussed mama Deb’s expressed desire to get pregnant and reveled that he and Tammy have been struggling to get pregnant.
“I want a kid too. I’ve been trying but I’ve been shooting blanks. I already [stopped smoking weed.] I’ve been taking vitamins and all.”
