Leg-drop incident aside, Miguel has undeniable talent and we’re glad to see his hard work pay off. According to CBS News, NBC’s popular singing competition, The Voice, has invited four new celebrities to join the ranks for season five of the series, and Miguel happens to be one of them. Musical icon Cher, Ed Sheeran and Ryan Teddar have also been added to the cast.
The four talented voices have signed on to be music advisers for the show. Miguel will be joining coach CeeLo Green, Cher will be joining Blake Shelton, Ed Sheeran will be joining Christian Aguilera and Ryan Teddar will be joining Adam Levine.
“This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams. I know Christina, Adam, CeeLo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard,” NBC alternative programming president Paul Telegedy said of the new additions.
And in case you’re wondering what happened to Shakira and Usher, who both joined the cast last season to replace Christina and CeeLo, they’ll be returning for season six of the series, which is said to be airing in 2014.
Congrats on the new gig, Miguel!
