WorldStarHipHop Scores Number One Spot On ‘The Source’ Power 30 Digital List
WorldStarHipHop, your source for the most ratchet content including weave-flinging street fights, scantily-clad video vixens, celebrity mishaps, and ostentatious music videos, has been named No.1 on The Source’s Power 30 Digital List.
One of the most coveted positions in the hip-hop arena is a top spot deliberated by The Source. “The […] magazine’s annual Power 30 issue dates back 16 years, and like each before, this year’s edition was the topic of conversation throughout the blogosphere,” HipHopWired said.
WorldStarHipHop recently teamed up with Juicy J for his controversial “Twerk Scholarship,” as MN reported, a contest for young women to shake their rump in hopes of winning $50K for their education. And just this week, the video website captured an inebriated Judge Joe Brown, who was caught being completely out of his southern gentleman character to say the least.
According to Worth of Web, the site is reportedly worth nearly $70 million and racks in 3,687,000 viewers a day.
“Focusing on unique visitors, content, and social media influence, among other factors,” for their selection, The Source included RapFix, HipHopDx, DatPiff, RapRadar in second, third, fourth, and fifth places respectively on the “most talked about and authoritative list.”
The magazine, including the other 25 hip-hop industry shakers, already hit the stands on Aug. 26 and features Juicy J and Big Sean on the cover.
