Well, It’s About Time! K.Michelle Squashes Year-Long Feud With Tamar Braxton
If you were disappointed to learn that the silly dispute that ignited between R&B singers K.Michelle and Tamar Braxton was still going strong, you are not alone. It was pretty saddening to see that two beautiful, talented black women—who have both made significant strides in their careers with the past 12 months— continue to resort to petty reality TV stars antics. What was even more disturbing was when Tamar confessed that the entire feud was the result of a misunderstanding and that K even offered her an apology.
“What upset me so much about the situation was the next day, Vince and I called Mona Scott, because first of all, Vince is a businessman and she mentioned ‘Braxton Family Values’ and that was his problem with it. Like, ‘Okay, this is my coin and that’s not what we do here.’ And she actually offered to call me and apologize to me because she was like it was blown out of proportion. And she knew that’s not where it came from because we made an attempt to tell Mona that’s not where it came from. So she wanted to call me and tell me that she was sorry, but my whole thing was like, ‘You know what, publicly you made this statement about me, so publicly you should apologize to me. So she hasn’t done that,” the “Hot Sugar” singer said during a recent interview with 97.9 The Box.
Sadly, when asked if she’d ever consider making amends with K, she responded:
“Well, you know what, my grandmother used to say, ‘If you’ll lie, you’ll steal and if you’ll steal, you’ll kill’ and ain’t nobody got time for that. I’m trying to live my life.”
K.Michelle, on the other hand, appears to have experienced a change of heart. The Love & Hip Hop star took to her Instagram page over the weekend, making somewhat of a peace offering to her reality TV rival in the name of real music.
“Tuesday is going to be a great day for R&B. For years now we’ve been left with alot of gimmick music. All differences aside REAL MUSIC is coming back, and I’m blessed to be apart of it! I’m buying ALL four of these albums. Yes, even Tamar’s,” she wrote beneath of photo collage of a few albums that are scheduled to be released this tomorrow.”
Hopefully Tamar follows suit.
