In many city apartments, a designated trash and recycling area is covered by the landlord. A mistake could send a bill your way for putting your trash out illegally on city streets. Make sure you and your landlord have a clear understanding of where and what the trash removal entails. And be thorough about recycling. It’s good for the environment and the fines could add up.
