Chaka Khan Briefly Went To Same Rehab As Lindsay Lohan, But Left Early After Falling Out With Her
It’s a small world after all.
According to Radar Online, the queen that is Chaka Khan at one point earlier in the year decided to check herself into rehab. Khan has been open about the fact that she struggled with drug abuse and alcoholism in the past, and according to reports, in an effort to keep herself in check, she checked in to the Cliffside Malibu rehabilitation center in California. Of course, we know that after being moved from the Betty Ford Center, actress Lindsay Lohan, 27, was moved to the same facility to finish up her 90-day court-ordered rehabilitation, coming in soon after Khan. According to a source who spoke to Radar, and attended the same facility, Lohan was a pain in Khan’s behind very quickly, as she was for many of those in the program. Lohan was allegedly disruptive, doing things for attention, and at some point, the two women bumped heads (not literally thank God). Here’s what the source says happened:
“Chaka was really cool about everything at Cliffside, but Lindsay just pushed all of her buttons to the point where she was aggravated and tired of Lindsay’s s**t.
Lindsay was just doing stupid stuff for attention, so Chaka told her she was childish and told her to grow up. She never lost it, but started yelling at Lindsay. Told her to knock it off, asking her if she came to rehab to get well, or just to piss around.
Chaka was so annoyed with Lindsay. It got so bad that she refused to get in the same car with her or go to the same meetings with Lindsay…Cliffside had to change everything up schedule wise so the two were never together.”
According to this same source, Khan decided to leave rehab a weak early than she planned because she tired of the troubled actress and her antics. But the source claims Khan received what she was looking for from the program so that she could maintain her strength and stay on the straight and narrow:
“Chaka’s a strong woman and her time at Cliffside did help her get a lot better. She’s a positive lady and quite interesting, in a good way. She just needed the strength and at the end of the day she got what she was looking for.”
Khan, nor her people, have commented on the reports as of yet, but with Lohan’s past, I can believe she turned that place inside out before finally settling down and getting the treatment she needed. What do you think?
