Fantasia Reportedly Walks Off Stage And Has Words For TGT After Performance Hiccups During ATL Show
Soundcheck is a singer’s best friend, and when folks aren’t allowed the time to fully prepare for an upcoming performance, the results can be messy. According to TheYBF.com, that’s exactly what happened for Fantasia during a concert last night at Atlanta’s Civic Center, which she did alongside TGT. Billed as the “special guest” for the show, Fantasia performed before TGT, but it seems that Fantasia hadn’t been given the proper amount of time needed to prepare. Because of that, she had a few hiccups during the show that she eventually couldn’t ignore.
According to TheYBF, they claim that Fantasia was not allowed to do a soundcheck at all. During the show, fans say her mic was cut at times and the singer on her own noticed that the microphones of her background singers were turned off when she performed “Lose To Win.” She reportedly exited the stage in irritation after that. However, at some point in the performance, Fantasia was taped telling concertgoers that there’s a deeper, petty reason her performance wasn’t going as planned, and that while she doesn’t mind working with people and performing alongside them, sometimes the feeling clearly isn’t mutual:
“My background singers said they can’t hear. Here is the problem, ATL, and I’m gonna keep it real, real, real. Sometimes they allow us to get our soundcheck, and sometimes they don’t. That just only lets me know one thing, and I’m gonna keep that to myself. We are not haters. We like to perform with people, but sometimes they don’t like to perform with us.”
So why didn’t she get a soundcheck? The impression given by TheYBF and through Fanny’s statement to the crowd was that it possibly had something to do with the fellas of TGT. Later on in the evening, Fantasia’s manager Brian snapped a picture with Tank, and he captioned it with this: “My looooong time friend Tank @therealtank and I after the show. Great solo artist follow and support him.” This would be all nice and sweet if it weren’t for the fact that Tank wasn’t working as a solo artist for the show, but with Ginuwine and Tyrese…
All in all, we’re hoping these were glitches and not some issues caused by some issues between Fanny and Tyrese and Ginuwine. But don’t feel bad, girl, after some of their recent performances, we know TGT could use all the soundchecks and practices they can get…
