Chris Brown Offers Advice To Young Black Men Following Zimmerman Verdict And Weighs In On His Own Love Life
Youtube channel “hollywoodlife09″ caught up with singer Chris Brown to discuss quite a few things going on in his life. Among them, Breezy was asked if he had any advice for young Black men since the Zimmerman verdict was passed down, considering he was quite vocal about his disappointment with the decision. He had this to say:
“Keep your head up because stereotype is something I’m familiar with… As a young entertainer I’ve dealt with the slander… With these young kids coming up it’s all about the choices that they make. It’s always going to be about the choices… They have to surround themselves with the people that’s going to think positive.”
“It’s all about giving back and being a role model… You gotta be hands-on.”
He also touched on his new movie coming out “Battle of the Year” and how he wanted to showcase hip hop and the art of b-boying. Chris was then asked the question that millions of fans have been pondering as of late… Is he involved with anyone?
“Well you know, in my past experiences they’ve seen me on and off again with different girls… you know how the whole thing is… But for right now, I just chose as a 24-year-old man just to be single, you know what I mean? I’ll still do the friend [thing]… but it’s just about being focused on the music and basically doing this stuff because right now I’m in my prime…”
It seems like he’s got his head screwed on straight right now and we’re hoping it lasts.
