He played the role of Mike Seaver on the classic show Growing Pains. She was of course known as the eldest of the Tanner sisters on Full House. They were both bitten by the acting bug young, and were part of very successful television shows as young people. And while Candace went on to get married (Candace Cameron Bure to you) and acts here and there, her brother became a born-again Christian who caught some heat for going on CNN and saying homosexuality is “detrimental, and ultimately destructive.”
