Love this classic! And may I add, it’s so much better than the European version (no disrespect to those who like that version better…but it pales in comparison). The song was written by LA Reid and Babyface and produced by the team as well. It was featured on Houston’s third album of the same name and showed a more…let’s just say “street” version of Newark’s finest. While the song did well, hitting number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 charts as well as the Hot R&B charts as well, critics tried to claim it was too similar to Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel.” While they might be similar in showing a different side to these pretty lovable artists, it’s hard to even compare such classics.
