If you’re hoping to voyeur into the life of a new celebrity through the lens of reality TV, you’ll be happy to know that Ashanti is considering joining the ranks of celebs with their own reality shows. There’s only one condition, though. She wants to be the executive producer.

During a recent interview with Ohio’s 107.5, the “Never Should’ve” singer revealed that although she was previously opposed to doing a reality show, there’s a great possibility that she would be interested now.

“If you had asked me that question a couple of years ago. I would have been like, ‘Oh, no!’ Now it’s at least a thought if there is a way to spin it,” she revealed.

While she may have experienced a change of heart about reality TV, we’re still talking about the woman who still dances around Nelly questions even though everybody and their mama knows that they’ve were together for over five years, so I wouldn’t hold my breath hoping for any shocking revelations.

“Nowadays it’s really about how you flip it. I don’t know if I would really live my whole life under the camera and allow everyone to see it. There are ways to kinda of flip a situation,” she added.

Well, we certainly can’t knock the woman for wanting to live a private life. But if that’s the case, reality TV may not be the route to take.

Why not? That’s what most has-beens do anyway. She needs to restore some relevancy back into her life. I would watch it, I was once an Ashanti fan and I love the girl.

No one cares Ashanti. Although it would be interesting to see how u plan to come up after ur breakup with Nelly… Maybe u can hang around Nene and get some acting skills. We ALL know her acting skills pan out no further than her singing career. IJS

Not too many people care about her singing career anymore so it would be smart for her to find other ways to remain relevant. She has the right to keep her relationship stuff private but to be honest who really cares about that aspect of her life anyway? Her and Nelly aren’t even as popular as they used to be back in the day. Maybe if it were 2003 people would still care about this woman. Its all about Beyonce, Rihanna, Gaga and a few others now so she better find new ventures lol.

If it were 2003 it would be a hit show!!!! But its not, she must still be going off a calender from 10 years ago….

Nobody cares about Beyonce,Rihanna,Gaga,or the other people you failed to mention. Ashanti is more likeable than Beyonce,Rihanna,or Gaga, she’s just herself something Rihanna,Beyonce, and Gaga are NOT.

    • LadiesNight

BTW,Rihanna CAN’T sing, act, dance,so why is she still around. I’ll FOREVER listen to Ashanti,NEVER felt Rihanna and Bey is soooo 2003.

I never said anything about Rihanna being able to sing, act or dance. In my opinion Ashanti was never too good at doing any of those things. If she were she wouldn’t still be performing at random clubs in this stage of her career. Your comment on “Nobody cares about Beyonce, Rihanna or Gaga” is complete B.S.! They can release short commercials and get millions of people around a T.V. because they still have a mass audience who cares about their celebrity status and talents. Ashanti is no longer relevant in the music industry. Don’t take it offensively. It’s just the harsh truth. If she gets a show it will probably just be to document the hardships of her trying to make a hit album and matter again.
