Although it may not seem like a beneficial idea, getting to know the intern could prove to be eye-opening. If you are a veteran employee, getting to know the intern could give you a new perspective on the job, as interns usually bring innovative ideas to the company. The intern could also be your next co-worker if they are that superb, so it doesn’t hurt to reach out to them early for mentoring or ideas to shape up the company. Finally, an intern is a sign of where the company is going. Don’t get left behind!
