Kenya Moore’s Landlord Claims She Defaulted On Lease 15 Times And Is Maliciously Attacking HER Character In Media

We already know things have become very ugly between Kenya Moore and her landlord, Conya Dillon. Last week she won an eviction case against Moore on grounds that she wasn’t paying her rent and keeping up with the property like she should. But Moore got to work, spoke on Wendy Williams and said that the landlord was just trying to get money from her because she’s going through a bitter divorce battle with her husband, and having Moore as a high-profile tenant bringing in big checks (side-eye) could be bringing Dillon enough money to affect her husband’s support payments. A source even spoke to The Huffington Post to confirm Moore’s suspicions about the whole shabang:

“The eviction lawsuit has nothing to do with Kenya at all. Kenya has found herself renting from a divorced couple who are in the middle of a bitter battle over support payments. Basically, the wife/landlord wants Kenya to move out of the house immediately because, as you can see from the attached document, she has a court date coming up with her ex-husband where she will be asking for additional support for their daughter and other financial relief.

However, the husband is contending that his ex is making a lot of money by having Kenya as a tenant and he does not want to pay her any additional support. The wife wants Kenya out before her court date so she can say she is no longer receiving the big rent checks.”

So after all that, Moore filed motion to have the eviction postponed, saying she never received legal notice that she needed to appear for the hearing that Dillon won. She got her wish, and the next court case is scheduled from July 9.

But in court papers filed, Dillon says that Moore violated terms of her lease at least 15 times by paying rent late, defaulting on several bills and making unauthorized alterations to the Georgia home. She also claims that the RHOA star has caused her “extreme emotional distress” because Moore has not only caused a delay in the eviction, but also because of her “malicious and intentional attacks” on Dillon’s character and reputation in the media. She says that Kenya has lied on her on two separate occasions, including that appearance on Wendy we were telling you about, and feels that she is using the case to keep her name in the news and to “maintain relevancy.”
Playing the victim role, Dillon’s court papers acquired from Radar Online also say about her: “Plaintiff has suffered emotional [and financial] distress and has been unable to maintain normal sleeping habits. Plaintiff has been forced to shut down all social media accounts in order to avoid overwhelming contacts and requests from the public.”
So while Moore probably feels like Dillon is trying to tear down her character in the media, it seems this landlady thinks it’s the other way around. Messy. Things will come to a head when the ladies meet up in court on July 9 to hash everything out once and for all.
