Today we continued our live chat series with the ladies of “R&B Divas Atlanta,” talking with the fabulous  Syleena Johnson. In a previous chat, we got Nicci Gilbert’s side of the ongoing beef with her reality TV co-star, so this time around, we wanted to get Syleena’s point of view on the drama, as well as see what she has in the works,  what we can expect from her appearance on “Iyanla Fix My Life,” and of course, what is up with this “R&B Divas” tour. She always told us about some interesting collabos for her upcoming album and what she thinks about the “R&B Divas LA” cast.

Check out the chat and see more under the hashtag #MNChats

Nicci seems bitter & angry. I really respect Syleena because Nicci has done nothing but throw shade at the woman!!

Aside from the many ridiculous mini-dramas involve Nicci, I love the interraction and relationship between Syleena, her sisters and her mother, and how it all plays out. That shows a different side of reality TV aside from the cattiness, bitchiness and “rachet-ness”

Love SJ; Nicci needs a lot of attention because of her SEVERE insecurities. Look at all the issues with all different types of people. Her wanting people to beg her to perform. She has insulted Angie and Syleena regarding their weight (both of whom are smaller than she is on her skinniest day). Anyone questions her and it is war because they should know her motives are pure in her eyes. But she never gives anyone else that same deference. Everyone that disagrees with how she sees the world is wrong with shaky motives. Syleena has it right keep growing and moving on!

I think it shows how classy she is to not sign it. She seems to have remained dignified in the face of someone (Nicci) who at this point is just being an idiot. I don’t know what went on behind closed doors but Nicci showed her behind all season. She has been throwing temper tantrums and acting a dang fool. She needs to grow up. I noticed though that with the exceptions of Mo, Faith and Syleena. These women take themselves WAY too seriously. That last scene with them at the table was painful to watch. Keke wasn’t touching Toscha in a negative way and yet that set her off to a point where it seemed fake. It was not that serious…. I could go on but the root of the whole thing was Nicci. She has been stirring that pot all season and almost looked like she was enjoying her carnage. Needless to say I very much agreed with Syleena’s parting words to her.

I understand what Syleena is saying HOWEVER, sometimes folks take food outta their own mouth!!!!!

      I very much agree.

  • I just love Syleena Johnson on the show because she tells things like they need to be told! That’s Chi-Town fa ya!

  • Pooh

She still is grown enough to still want Nicci to make her money and be on the show. I think that speaks volumes from her. I wonder if Nicci would have had the same response if the situation was reversed.

      Hell No!!!

    • Denise

Heck no, Nicci’s evil and mean-spirited behind would have found a way to sign the petition 10 times!! Syleena told her though, “You are the common denominator in all this discord.” Truth.

Also Nicci is Syleena’s boss on the show. Nicci’s executive producer. So Nicci aint’ going anywhere anyway.
