While most of us were busy bumping to Wale’s latest summer jam, “Bad,” which features new artist Tiara Thomas, behind the scenes, the working relationship between the duo was rapidly deteriorating. Earlier this month during an interview with Hot 97, Wale opened up about parting ways with the singer after it was announced that she signed with popular producer, Rico Love and Interscope Records. When asked why Tiara didn’t sign with him, he revealed that his intentions were to sign Thomas, but Rico beat him to the punch.

“I was a casualty of the game. That bitter reality just hit me but it’s all good, shout out to Tiara Thomas and her new situation. I don’t want to go there- shout out to Tiara Thomas though. She’s a dope artist, she’s an incredible artist,” Wale expressed.

Although he seemed a bit upset over the situation, he appears to have tried to put his best foot forward and not dwell on the negative or bash Tiara; however, the station’s programming director, Ebro, sensed some funny business and proceeded to probe.

Ebro: “Blink twice if I got it right. Tiara Thomas jumps on Wale’s song ‘Bad’ after spending six months–”

Wale: “Two years…”

Ebro: “…potentially wanting to be an artist that is groomed under Wale. You put her on the song ‘Bad.’ ‘Bad’ becomes single, all of a sudden Tiara Thomas doesn’t want to sign to Wale, she’d rather do something else…”

Although Wale appeared to be trying to keep beef to a minimum, something must’ve gone down behind the scenes since then because things got pretty ugly on Twitter between the “Lotus Flower Bomb” rapper’s personal assistant and Tiara. Wale also appears to have chimed in on the verbal war.

It also appears that Wale chimed in with a few subliminals.

Tiara seems to have dished out a few subs of her own as well.
