In another episode of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, resident bird Sinead O’Connor continues to tell stories about Minnesota’s greatest treasure – Prince Rogers Nelson.

What’s ironic is that Sinead O’Connor’s most famous Prince connection came when she rose to stardom in 1990 singing a “unique” arrangement of his song “Nothing Compares 2 U.” But now the 51-year-old artist is on the way to infamy, claiming that her late “friend” was all kinds of things that we’ve never heard before – like, being a woman beater. Chile.

Mayte Garcia, Prince’s ex-wife, had to step in to defend him. She told TMZ that when they were married, he never laid hands on her, and she never saw him get violent with anyone else. In their four-year marriage from 1996-2000, Mayte saw no evidence that would support Sinead’s claims.

But Sinead continues to stand firm in her allegation. She claims that she was really close to the late singer, who was not only violent to women, but he was a heavy drug user. What?

Eleven days after Prince died, she was interviewed over the phone by investigators from the Carver County Sheriff’s Department. That interview was recorded, and its audio was released last week, where you can hear the Irish singer explain her experience with one of the world’s most beloved men.

“He used hard drugs commonly, OK? I know this because I spent time with the man,” She said. “He would come out of the room and he would be very violent, very aggressive. His eyeballs would disappear literally from his eyes. They would vanish. And he had been very violent, and these women will be coming forward over time…He tried to beat the sh-t out of me.”

This is not who the world knows Prince to be. Or Mayte. Or anyone who was actually close to the music genius. And isn’t it odd that she tells these stories after the legend has passed away? If he were here, I can only imagine the kind of clap-back he would bestow upon her.

But I think Arsenio Hall kind of did that on his behalf when that lady decided to accuse him of being Prince’s drug dealer. Arsenio sued her, and Sinead ended up apologizing.

“I apologize for my Facebook posts about Arsenio Hall to the extent that anyone thought I was accusing him of acting as Prince’s drug dealer and supplying him with illegal hard drugs, or insinuating that Arsenio had something to do with Prince’s death…I sincerely apologize because those statements would be false and I retract them unequivocally,” She told TMZ.

When will someone offer her to sit down somewhere? She has to be exhausted from all the dragging sessions.
