One of the biggest monthly expenses shaking up your bank account is how much you spend on food. Some people don’t even realize how much money they throw down the drain (or their throats), which could be the reason why it’s so hard to save. Those Starbucks drinks and pick-me-up snacks when heading home can quickly add up to a small fortune. In the end, you will be scratching your head as to how you spent $40 in just a few days.

Given the state of the ever fluctuating economy and the cost of living forever rising, everyone would be happy with a few extra dollars in their bank account. If you have been looking for ways to cut back and save, here are some tips on cutting down your monthly food expenses. Kudos if you can eat less than $50 a week, but for those with families, consider this as a springboard of ideas.

Thanks Madamenoire for this! I was just thinking about how I can save money on lunch while eating healthy then I click on this. I just went to the grocery store this morining to get a few ingredients to make a good sandwich wrap and it ended up costing me $14 dollars for everything. I will use these recipes because I’m tired of eating fast food and junk food for my meals. Thanks again!

This is possible. Fortunately, for me I had a nice landlord who took me to the grocery store.
